Leonidas

Leonidas is a 8 year old German Shepherd

He is a rescue who had a very rough start to life, but has lived it up ever since we brought him home with us! A few weeks after finding out we were pregnant with our first child, we decided to get another puppy and while scrolling through ads on Craigslist, we came across his picture. We drove for 3 hours to pick up this sweet boy from a little run-down house in Bakersfield, California. By the time we got there, he was completely covered in ticks and malnourished. We rushed him to the vet and got him medicated, bathed and fed. It is so hard to believe that just 8 years ago, this pup was so tiny and sick. You wouldn't even know it now! He is very vocal and will alert everyone on the ranch of arriving guests, then he will run to greet them with a wagging tail. He is a big 'ole baby and loves to swing his head around out of excitement.
